Welcome to the new SASM blog

After what felt like an indefinite delay, the new SASM Blog is finally live! Our members have been asking for it, and it now is finally here. We are planning great things for the blog as a communication channel with all registered SASM members. Look out for some informative articles on the latest local and global microbiology news, interviews and events. SASM also now has a presence on the major social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook and Google+.

To access the member services on SASM's website, you need to be able to login. Here is a step-by-step tutorial to some of the features on the blog:


1. On the bottom right of the homepage you will find a login box and enter your details.

2. Several menu items will now be available.

3. The forum and blog tabs are situated to the right. Click to view.


4. There are also other means to get an update if new blog articles are published.
a. You can subscribe to the blog via RSS feed to receive an automatic email of new published articles. To enable this just click as shown below and complete your details:

b. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Google+ to receive news about blog updates.
