The 21st Biennial Conference of the South African Society for Microbiology will be held at the Economic Management Science Building on the Bloemfontein campus of the University of the Free State from 20-23 September 2020.
The overarching theme of the conference will be “The Interacting Microbe”, exploring interactions between microbes, microbes and their environment as well as their hosts.
We look forward to start interacting with you on the evening of Sunday 20 September 2020.
ABSTRACTS
To encourage collaboration and broaden our perspectives onmicrobial interactions, abstracts are invited in the following fields:
- Microbes interacting with humans and other animals
- Microbes interacting with plants
- Microbes interacting with each other
- Microbes interacting with the built and natural environment
- Microbes interacting with food and beverages
- Microbes interacting with chemicals
- Microbes interacting with metals
Abstracts can be submitted online until 28 February 2020, should not exceed 500 words and should comply to the template andguidelines provided.
