The Organising Committee is thrilled to request the submission of abstracts for the BIO26-South Africa Congress, hosted by the South African Society for Microbiology (SASM), Rhodes University and Biotech SA 2026, under the over-arching theme of "Synergies, Symbioses, Sustainability". The BIO26-South Africa Congress is a multidisciplinary conference, bringing together stakeholders across the broad fields of microbiology and biotechnology, from fundamental to applied research, with contributions from academic researchers, industry partners, and policymakers.
The BIO26-South Africa Congress will pave the way for conversations across the biosciences spectrum that will shape the future of bio-based research and development: towards sustainable futures, societal impact and bioeconomy development.
